Tzvi Waldman v. Suffolk County

Our government will be held accountable to the Constitution.

We filed Tzvi Waldman v. Suffolk County because the Suffolk County Police Department refused to comply with a FOIL request into firearm confiscations under red flag laws. Two NY Supreme Court decisions recently found NY’s red flag law was unconstitutional. Suffolk County has been accused of abusing the red flag laws. Instead of being transparent about the process provided to those accused, SCPD violated the FOIL process by refusing to disclose these records. SCPD cannot abuse the red flag laws, violate the second amendment and violate freedom of information laws. Our government will be held accountable to the Constitution. The days of denying Constitutional rights behind a web of ex parte proceedings needs to end. TZVI_WALDMAN_et_al_v_SUFFOLK_COUNTY_et_al_PETITION
